The San Diego Junior Tennis Association's

after school program is designed to teach children the fundamentals of TENNIS  conveniently after school hours at the schools' playground or black top.

Mike's focus on providing a program that not only offers a solution to After School  sports activities, but also is giving children the opportunity to learn playing tennis at highest possible standards of professional teaching. SDJTA's tennis services  have been praised by many schools, parents and kids alike, as the most comprehensive and fun oriented activity among their sports programs.  

Mike's approach, to cater to each child's individual ability has paid off in many becoming accomplished players. He was the coach of UNI Highschool which  earned the CIF award.

His method of teaching includes some fundamentals tought by the late tennis guru and his mentor Vic Braden,  for whom he began to promote his ' Ambassador Tennis Program' designed to emphasize sportsmanship and tutoring,  children working with children.



Mike Rogers, founder and president of the SDJTA program, and his team of professional instructors,  have been teaching thousands of kids, at dozens of schools,  throughout the greater San Diego County area since 1999.

Formerly a USPTA San Diego Division Vice President, Mike has been honored with an Outstanding Community Service award by the State Of California Senate; he has 28 years of experience in developing and teaching  tennis for adults and children
